Prayer in WP(MD). 2154/ 2016 :

Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to approve the appointment of the petitioner as Botany Lecturer in the 5th respondent's college from the date of initial appointment i.e. from 2.8.2010 to 6.7.2014 with all attendant benefits and pay the arrears of salary by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 7.12.2015. This Court, by an order dated 07.04.2016, had directed the respondent herein to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 07.12.2015, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks. Since the respondent herein has not complied with the same, the petitioner has come up with this contempt petition.

2.Today, the learned counsel appearing for the respondent by producing a proceedings in Na.Ka.No.2655/<2/2017, dated 30.08.2017 submitted that the case of the petitioner has been considered and rejected by the respondent. Thus the order passed in the writ petition has been complied with and nothing survives in this petition.

3.Recording the above submission, this Contempt Petition is closed. It is open to the petitioner to challenge the said proceedings independently, if he is so advised.
