O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed by a retired Deputy Inspector of Labour, Madurai, seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 11.08.2023.

2. According to him, he was promoted as Deputy Inspector of Labour in the post of Upgraded Superintendent. While he was promoted to the post of Deputy Inspector of Labour, the date of joining in the post of Upgraded Superintendent was not taken into consideration for fixing the seniority, even though the petitioner was already given Selection Grade in the cadre of Upgraded Superintendent.

3. The petitioner had addressed a representation to the respondent herein on 11.08.2023, which has been acknowledged by the respondent.

4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent. 2/4

5. In view of the above said facts, the respondent herein is directed to consider the representation of the writ petitioner, dated 11.08.2023 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
