.. Respondents/Contemner Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of Contempt of Court Act, 1971 praying to punish the respondents for wilfully disobeying the order of this Court in W.P(MD)No.14893 of 2016 dated 12.08.2016.

Prayer in WP No 14893 of 2016 Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to include the Petitioner in C list dated 16.07.2016 in C.No.16122/A1/2016 Z.o.No.99/2016 and promote from the said date of 16.07.2016 as requested in his representation, dated 29.07.2016 with in a time fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This Court by the order dated 12.08.2016, directed the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.07.2016 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law.

2.Contending that there is no compliance of the order and the conduct exhibited by the respondents amounted to wilful disobedience to the order passed by this Court, this Contempt Petition has been filed.

3.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has produced the proceedings issued by the first respondent in Rc.No.176058/NGB-I(1)/2016 dated 26.11.2016, in which, it has been stated that the request of the petitioner for promotion as Inspector of Police (AR) on par with his juniors is not feasible of compliance at this juncture and the request of the petitioner was rejected as devoid of merits.
