ORDER

Petitioner has filed this Writ Petition for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 30.09.2024.

2. The petitioner's case is that he purchased the property in Survey No.19A1A1A to an extent of 1500 sq.ft. in Lalgudi Taluk, then Srirangam Sub-Registrar Office, now Manachanallur Sub-Registrar Office, Tiruchirapalli District, in the name of his wife vide Sale Deed, dated 08.07.1982. When the petitioner wanted to obtain patta in his wife's name for the said property, the same was refused, on the ground that the said land is reflected as Government land. The petitioner, therefore, submitted a representation to the second respondent on 30.09.2024 to issue patta in his wife's name for the said property. Since no action has been taken by the respondent, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition for the aforesaid relief.

3. Considering the fact that the petitioner has submitted a representation, dated 30.09.2024, and the same is pending with the second respondent, without going into the merits of the matter, a direction is issued to the second respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation of the

petitioner, dated 30.09.2024, on merit and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
