O R D E R

The instant writ petition has been filed by a retired employee of the respondent Transport Corporation, seeking a Mandamus as against the respondents to release the eligible difference of arrears amount arising out of 7th Pay Commission benefits.

2. The petitioner had retired from service on 31.07.2016 and he has sent a representation to the respondents on 19.09.2024 seeking the above said benefits. Since the said representation has not been considered, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents. 2/4

Considering the above said facts, the respondents herein are directed to disburse the eligible amount to the writ petitioner based upon the 7th Pay Commission benefits along with interest at the rate of 6% per annum, from the due date, till the date of disbursement, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
