The petitioner, who is arrayed as accused in Crime No.42 of 2009 , has filed this petition to call for the records relating to the said First Information Report, on the file of the Inspector of Police, Thiruvadanai Police Station, Ramanathapuram District and quash the same.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the State would submit that the entire investigation in Crime No. 42 of 2009 was completed and the charge sheet is pending with the Investigating Officer, only for receiving the documents from the office of Sub Registrar.

3. As per the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), nothing survives in adjudicating this petition. However, Considering the stage of the investigation, this Court is inclined to give some direction to the respondent Police with regard to the filing of charge sheet. Accordingly, the first respondent is directed to file a charge sheet in Crime No. 42 of 2009, before the concerned Court, within a period two weeks from the date receipt of a copy of this order.
