The petitioner is the Regional Secretary of Tamil Nadu Power Engineers Organization and he has filed the present writ petition on the ground that he has made representations, dated 26.09.2017 and 23.10.2017 to comply with the Regulation Nos.97 and 98 of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Staff Regulations and rectify the discrepancies in the seniority list of Assistant Executive Engineers, published in Memo.No.078395/877/A.B./G.181/2009 dated 27.12.2009 of the third respondent and the "Approved Panel of Assistant Executive Engineers (Electrical) suitable for promotion as Executive Engineers(Electrical) for the year 2017-2018(Secretariat Branch) dated 28.09.2017" of the second respondent and grant promotion as Executive Engineer (Electrical) afresh, based on the corrected Seniority List and promotion panel of the Assistant executive Engineer(Electrical).
2.It appears that without challenging the approved panel for the year 2009 - 2017, filing the present writ petition for the above said prayer is not sustainable and hence, the prayer sought for in the writ petition is misconceived. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed by grating liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
