ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to direct the second respondent not to harass the petitioner and her family members for conducting her joint family prayer in the house of the petitioner at D.No.12-82-2, Nediyan Code, Kattathurai Post, Kanyakumari District based on the complaint of the petitioner dated 03.12.2022.

When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the dispute was referred to the Tahsildar, Thiruvattar and in pursuance of the same, he has issued summons and conducted a peace committee meeting on 25.11.2021 and they have directed the petitioner to get appropriate permission from the District Collector. He would further submit that subsequently, the Tahsildar has sent a letter to the Sub Collector, Padmanapapuram dated 21.03.2022 observing that in case if the petitioner therein is permitted to conduct Jeba Koottam, it will create a law and order problem. 2/4

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would further submit that in the said peace committee meeting, the petitioner's husband has attended and also referred the permission sought for to conduct Jeba Koottam in their building.

4. Recording the above, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
