The petitioner herein is the sole accused in Crime No.286/2013 which was later taken on file as S.T.C.No.832/2013, by the Judicial Magistrate, Palani. This application is filed by the petitioner, in which he seeking the relief to quash the entire proceedings as illegal.

2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate present. Both of them represented that on 12.04.2014 itself, the case pertaining to this petitioner was closed by the Judicial Magistrate under the provisions of 258 of Cr.P.C. Now the submissions made by either side counsels are recorded.
