PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.482 of BNSS PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Cr.No.249 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 194 of BNSS altered into 296(b), 108 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Act, in Crime No.249 of 2025, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant and his wife had borrowed hand loans from several persons, including the petitioner. The petitioner had received a sum of Rs. 50,000/- as interest from the defacto complainant. On 25.06.2025, at about 8.00 p.m., the petitioner and her son went to the house of the defacto complainant and demanded payment of the principal amount along with the interest. The accused persons threatened the defacto complainant's wife with dire 2/5

consequences. Under such circumstances, the defacto complainant's wife committed suicide by hanging. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police submits that the defacto complainant and his wife had borrowed hand loans from several persons, including the petitioner, and paid Rs.50,000/- as interest. Thereafter, the petitioner and her son went to their house, demanded repayment with interest, and threatened the complainant's wife with dire consequences. Unable to bear the harassment, she committed suicide by hanging Therefore, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the statement recorded under Section 164 of Cr.P.C, this 3/5

Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
