Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent herein to issue the Community Certificate to the petitioner herein and his minor daughter viz: R. Keerthisri as sought for therein and pursuant to the application dated 16.08.2015 submitted by the petitioner herein to the 2nd respondent herein enclosing all the documents and records to prove that they belong to Malai Vedan Community which is recognized as a Scheduled Tribe Community as per the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe order (Amendment) Act, 1976 within a stipulated time.

Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a WRIT OF MANDAMUS directing the 2nd respondent herein to issue the Community Certificate to the petitioner herein and pursuant to the application dated 16.08.2015 submitted by the petitioner herein to the second respondent herein enclosing all the documents and records to prove that they belong to Malai Vedan Community which https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

*********** [Order of the Court was made by R.SUBBIAH, J.] The present Contempt Petitions have been filed alleging that the order of this Court dated 15.04.2016 made in W.P.(MD). Nos.21025 and 21026 of 2015, has not been complied with. 2.Today, when the Contempt Petitions are taken up for consideration, by producing a copy of the proceedings of the District Adi-Dravidar and Schedule Tribe Welfare Officer, Dindigul, it is submitted by the learned Special Government Pleader that the claim of the petitioners seeking issuance of community certificates to their children had already been rejected by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Palani, by proceedings dated 04.06.2016. Challenging the said rejection order, the petitioners had already filed appeals before the District Collector, Dindigul and the same are pending.
3. In view of the above, the Contempt Petitions are closed, giving liberty to the petitioners to work out their remedy before the Appellate Authority.
