ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed by an Assistant working in Puliyangudi Municipality seeking a direction to the respondent to expeditiously dispose of the appeal pending before the respondent.
2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the respondent has issued a tentative seniority list of Assistants for being promoted to the post of Manager in Municipal service. The respondent had issued tentative seniority list on 09.10.2015 calling for objections. The petitioner has submitted his objection on 11.10.2015. On 21.08.2023, the petitioner had sent a detailed representation to the respondent herein. Since the said objections or the representation have not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent. 2/4

Considering the above said facts, the respondent herein is directed to consider the representation and the objection of the writ petitioner submitted on 21.08.2023 for the tentative seniority list dated 09.10.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above said observations, this Writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
