PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records on the files of the respondents pertaining to its order bearing Na.Ka.No.515/17/A2, dated 15.11.2017 and the consequential auction notification issued by the respondent bearing Na.Ka.No.515/17/A2, dated 17.11.2017 and to quash the same and consequently direct the respondent to extend the lease period from 14.11.2017 for a period of 3 years by accepting the 1/4

sum of Rs.1,72,500/- by considering the representation of the petitioner, dated 11.11.2017.

This writ petition is filed as against the order passed by the Assistant Director of Panchayat, Nagercoil rejecting the request of the petitioner for extension of lease period for running a tiffin shop at sun set point at Kanyakumari and collection of fee for usage of toilet for further three years from 14.11.2017. 2.Today(08.01.2024), when this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner submits that the prayer sought for by the petitioner has now become infructuous and he has also made an endorsement to that effect. 2/4

3.Recording the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No Costs.
