The petitioner asserts that about 35 acres in the S.F. numbers indicated at paragraph 2 of the affidavit were owned by the petitioner's grandfather P.P.M.T.Ponnusamy Nadar. Without initiating acquisition proceedings, it is stated that these lands were taken over by the respondents without paying compensation to the petitioner's family. After submitting multiple representations in this regard, the present writ petition has been filed.
2. Learned Government Advocate accepts notice for all the respondents. He points out that an inquiry is ongoing in relation thereto and that encumbrance certificates for the last 100 years have been called for by the Revenue Divisional Officer. He also submits that the District Collector would issue orders within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
3. Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on the merits, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to pass 2/4
