The petitioner has come forward with this writ petition praying to issue a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 7 to forbear the respondents 8 and 9 from carrying out illegal quarrying in Periyakulam Tank in S.No.1 of Panaiyoor Village, Sankarankovil Taluk, Tirunelveli District.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the Writ Petition may be closed granting liberty to the petitioner to approach the authority concerned to submit a fresh representation to redress his grievances.
