Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the 1st to 3rd respondents from disbursing the educational grant to the 6th to 9th respondent colleges, directing the 2nd and 3rd respondents to restrain the 6th to 9th respondent colleges from acting as a Minority Institution and further direct the 1st 4th and 5th respondents to withdraw the affiliation granted to the 6th to 9th respondent colleges.

O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.) W.P.(MD) No.17284 of 2013 was filed seeking a mandamus to forbear the respondents 1 to 3 from disbursing educational grant to respondents 6 to 9, for a direction to respondents 2 and 3 to restrain respondents 6 to 9 from acting as Minority Institutions and also for a further direction to respondents 1, 4 and 5 to withdraw the affiliation granted to respondents 6 to 9. After hearing, the Writ Petition, the Division Bench of this Court was not inclined to issue any positive direction but at the same time, disposed of the writ petition, pointing out that the representation could be considered, if there is any case made out. Alleging that no action has been taken on the representation, the petitioner has come forward with this Contempt Petition. 2.

We heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. 3.We are not inclined to cause notice to the respondents, since there was no positive direction given in the writ petition in W.P.(MD) No.17284 of 2013 to the respondents. Hence, there is no case made out and the Contempt Petition is dismissed, accordingly. No costs.
