O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the first and the second respondents to regularize the petitioner in the post of part-time Sweepers in the second respondent office, as per the seniority from the date of joining as a Sweeper on 01.10.1998 and fix the time scale of pay providing annual increments with consequential monetary benefits.

2.The case of the petitioner is that he is working in the second respondent Office from the year 1998, as a part-time Sweeper for monthly wage of Rs.405/-. The Director General of 1/3

Police, Chennai, through his proceedings, dated 12.07.2002 directed to increase a consolidated pay of Rs.900/- to every parttime sweepers, who are working at the Police Department, as per G.O.No.580, dated 04.07.2002. Hence, the petitioner has made a representation, dated 07.11.2017, to regularize the petitioner's service and also to increase the time scale of pay. Since no order has been passed, the present Writ Petition is filed. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the time scale of pay was fixed periodically, however, the service of the petitioner was not regularized. For regularization of the petitioner's service, this Court may issue a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 07.11.2017 in accordance with law. 4.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that he has no serious objection for considering the petitioner's representation.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 07.11.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if not disposed of already.

6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
