Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the Impugned Order in Rc.No.19728/E1/2017 dated 09.11.2017 on the file of the second respondent and quash the same as illegal and consequently for a direction directing the Respondents 1 and 2 to include the petitioner in the panel for promotion to the post of Deputy Director of Sericulture for the year 2017 and promote the Petitioner in the Post of Deputy Director of Sericulture along with other consequential benefits within the time period stipulated by this Court and pass such further or other order as this Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case and thus render justice. JUDGMENT

When the matter was taken up for hearing today (i.e., 30.07.2025), the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has passed away. The learned Government Advocate also produced the death certificate of the petitioner, confirming that the petitioner died on 01.05.2021.

2. In view of the demise of the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as abated. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
