ORDER

The learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the official respondent and the private respondents heard. 2.The prayer in the writ petition is only seeking issuance to direct the 2nd respondent to cancel the patta issued to the third respondent. It is an admitted fact that the enquiry has already been commenced by the District Revenue Officer and the enquiry is pending before the District Revenue Officer. However, it is seen that the District Revenue Officer is not a party to the writ petition. In and by communication, dated 22.11.2023, the first respondent/District Collector has intimated the petitioner as well as the 3rd respondent about the enquiry before the District Revenue Officer to be held on 01.12.2023. It is submitted by both counsels for the petitioner and the 3rd respondent that the enquiry has not been concluded and it would suffice if suitable 2/4

direction is issued to the District Revenue Officer, Sivagangai to complete the enquiry pending on his file.

3.In view of the above, this writ petition disposed of with a direction to the District Revenue Officer, Sivagangai to conclude the enquiry proceedings pending on his file in Na.Ka.B4/62806/2023 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. No costs.

4.Registry is directed to mark a copy to the District Revenue Officer, Sivagangai.
