second respondent by his proceedings in O.Mu.No.1242/2017/Peru.2 dated 26.07.2017 and quash the same as illegal and consequently to direct the third respondent to issue a transfer of post of Junior Assistant to the petitioner in anyone of the vacancies available in the Town Panchayats of Karur District by considering the G.O.(Ms).No. 48, Municipal Administration and Water Supply (T.P.II) Department dated 30.03.1998 and G.O.(Ms).No.153 Personnel and Administrative Reforms (B) Department dated 22.06.1998 and present physical status of the petitioner.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the impugned notice issued by the second respondent dated 26.07.2017 and the petitioner has sought for a consequential direction from the third respondent to issue transfer of post of Junior Assistant to the petitioner in any of the vacancies available in the Town Panchayats of Karur District by considering the G.O.(Ms).No.48, Municipal Administration and Water Supply (T.P.II) Department dated 30.03.1998 and G.O.(Ms).No.153 Personnel and Administrative Reforms (B) Department dated 22.06.1998.

2.It is brought to the notice of this Court by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents on instructions that subsequent to the passing of the impugned order, a proposal has been sent to the Government for transferring the petitioner from the post of Bill Collector to the post of Junior Assistant.

3.Learned Counsel for the petitioner on instructions would submit that the petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is given to the Government to dispose of the proposal for transferring the petitioner from the post of Bill Collector to the post of Junior Assistant within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 4.No prejudice will be caused to the respondents if such a direction is issued.

5.For the foregoing reasons, this Writ Petition is disposed of, by directing the first respondent to pass final orders on the proposal submitted by the second respondent recommending transfer of the petitioner from the post of Bill Collector to the post of Junior Assistant within a period of six [6] months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
