... Respondents Petitions filed Section 11 of Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 for having committed contempt of Court for disobeying the order dated 27.11.2015 made in W.P.(MD)Nos.21144 and 21145 of 2015. Prayer in WP(MD)Nos. 21144 and 21145/ 2015 :

Petition field under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a WRIT OF MANDAMUS directing the Respondents to pay the petitioners Gratuity, and Leave Salary with interest at the rate of 18% per annum within the time that may be stipulate by this Honourable Court.

ORDER

The contempt petition came to be filed for the alleged disobedience of the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD) Nos.21144 and 21145 of 2015, dated 27.11.2015. By the aforesaid order, this Court directed the transport Corporation to settle the entire terminal benefits in six equal monthly installments. The time frame granted was not adhered to. Hence, the contempt petitions came to be filed.

2.When the matter came up for hearing on 10.03.2016, this Court directed the petitioner to serve a copy of papers on the learned Standing Counsel. Accordingly a copy has been served. 3.Today, when the matter came up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are agreeable to receive the terminal benefits in 12 equal monthly installments commencing from 10th April 2016. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent Corporation has no objection for the same.

4.In view of the above, the contempt petitions are closed. No costs.
