This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, withdraw the investigation in Crime No.582 of 2014 pending on the file of 2nd respondent police and transfer the same and entrust the investigation to the 3rd respondent with direction to investigate the case in accordance with law within the period that may be stipulated by this court.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that the case, in Crime No.582 of 2014, has been closed as mistake of fact after due investigation and closure report has been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Tirunelveli. A copy of the closure report has been furnished to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner across the bar.
