ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to grant permission and also provide adequate police protection to conduct Margazhi month festival (Palkuda Vaibhava festival) at Sri Kaliamman Temple at Aranthangi, Pudukkottai District by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 06.12.2022.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State would submit that after conducting 2/4

peace committee meeting, both parties had accepted to conduct the Margazhi month festival (Palkuda Vaibhava festival) at Sri Kaliamman Temple at Aranthangi, Pudukkottai District on 30.12.2022 and the festival was also conducted.

3. Recording the said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, nothing survives for further adjudication in this petition. Hence, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. 04.01.2023 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes / No Internet :Yes / No das 3/4
