Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.08.2022 and mutate the patta for the share of the father of the petitioner, Dhakshinamoorthy to the name of the petitioner within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner seeks issuance of patta in respect of his share in his father's property. The petitioner's father is no more. There are other siblings. The respondent shall hold an enquiry and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing all the interested parties, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. It is open to the respondent to pass order one way or the other.

3. This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
