ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The present Public Interest Litigation has been instituted, seeking a direction to dismantle the disputed opening in the center median within a stipulated period.

2.The photographs enclosed by the writ petitioner would reveal that the median has already been removed by the National Highways Authority. Not satisfied with the removal, the present Writ Petition has been filed unnecessarily with an ulterior motive by the petitioner. Further, the petitioner is unable to establish any acceptable cause for the purpose entertaining this Writ Petition and such vexatious Writ Petition, if entertained, would cause prejudice to the public interest. Thus, this Writ Petition stands dismissed with cost of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand Only). The said amount is directed to be paid to the High Court Legal Services Authority within a period of two (2) weeks from today(23.11.2023). No costs.
