This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of reference made by Regional Passport Office, Trichy which was communicated to the petitioner through reply under Right to Information Act dated 14.11.2022 and the petitioner's representation dated 19.11.2022.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner would submit that in the reply received under Right to Information Act dated 14.11.2022 from the Assistant Passport Officer it has been stated that the matter has been referred to Superintendent of Police, Trichy Rural for necessary investigation and that the same was referred to the Superintendent of Police in the month of October 2022 but no action has been taken sofar.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that the respondent may be directed to consider the matter that was referred by the Passport Office, Trichy within a time stipulated by this Court.
5. Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the respondent is directed to consider the matter that was referred by the Passport Office, Trichy within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No cost.
