illegal and consequently directing the respondent herein to register the Settlement Deed dated 01.08.2025 presented by the petitioner executed in favour of his wife relating to the lands an extent of 171⁄2 Cents (0.07.10 Ares) of Ayan Punja land comprised in S.No.355/2A of Thippanampatti Village, Tenkasi Taluk and District.

ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The first petitioner herein executed a settlement deed dated 01.08.2025 in favour of his wife / second petitioner herein. Citing the bar setout under Section 22A of the Registration Act, 1908 registration was refused. Challenging the same, this writ petition has been filed. 3.The second petitioner / settlee undertakes before this Court that without getting approval from the competent authority, no housing development or any other development will take place. 2/4

4.Recording the said undertaking, the impugned refusal check slip is quashed. The petitioners are at liberty to re-present the document. It shall be registered and released subject to the fulfilment of the other usual formalities.
