PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to measure the petitioner's land with regard to Survey No.127/2 to an extent of 0.17.5 ares, Survey No.129/1 to an extent of 0.17.0 Ares, Survey No.131 to an extent of 0.365 Ares and Survey No.132/2 to an extent of 0.15.5 acres situated at Ayyalur Village, Vedasandur Taluk, Dindigul District based on the petitioner's representation dated 10.11.2017. O R D E R

The petitioner with a grievance that his request for survey of his land has not been considered by the respondents has filed this writ petition in the year 2017.

2.Today(29.01.2024), when this writ petition is taken up for hearing, it is reported that the petitioner died. 3.Though this writ petition is pending from the year 2017, the respondents have not taken any action and now it is reported that the petitioner died.

4.In view of the above, this writ petition is closed. However, liberty is granted to the legal heirs of the petitioner to submit a fresh application, if they are so advised, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event, if any such application is filed by the legal heirs of the 2/4

petitioner, survey shall be conducted within a period of six weeks from thereon. No costs.
