ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to issue a direction to the second respondent herein to file a final report in Crime No.48 of 2016 on the file of the respondent herein for the offences under Sections 120(b), 468, 471, 420, 506(i) IPC against the accused persons within the time stipulated by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents.
3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that the case was pending before the first respondent and the same was subsequently transferred to the second respondent and that 2/4
they have received the document examination report recently from the Regional Forensic Laboratory, Madurai and he seeks two weeks time to file final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court.
4. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), the second respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file final report in Crime No.48 of 2016 before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
