Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to rectify the mistake in the copy of the old Aregister in Old S.No.4527 and New S.No.1037/3 and 4 situated in Alagapapuram Village now called as Anjugramam Village, Agasteeswaram Taluk, Kanyakumari District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 18.06.2025 and 21.08.2025 and proceed the same in accordance with law within stipulated time as prescribed by this Court.

Heard both sides.

2.The petitioner contends that there is a mistake in respect of the petition mentioned survey number in the revenue record. Even according to the petitioner, the mistake crept in during UDR. It is only the fourth respondent who is the authority competent to rectify such UDR errors. The petitioner is permitted to submit an appropriate petition before the 2/4

fourth respondent. It is well settled that for correcting UDR errors, there is no limitation. As and when such a petition is filed, it shall be taken on file and disposed of on merits and in accordance with law after issuing notice to the interested persons within a period of four months thereafter. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. 3.This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
