This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent to conclude the departmental proceedings pending on his file in Na.Ka.No.7516/A2/2016, dated 27.03.2017. 2.The case of the petitioner is that while he was working as a Senior Lecturer in the District Institute of Education, Research and Training at Uthamapalayam, Theni District, he was issued a charge memo dated 27.03.2017. Thereafter, the petitioner has submitted his explanation. After submitting the petitioner's explanation, till date, the disciplinary proceedings were not concluded. Hence, the present writ petition is filed.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that this Court may issue a direction to the respondent to conclude the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner within the time frame fixed by this Court.
4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that he has no serious objection for the aforesaid submission.

W.P.(MD)No.22173 of 2017 5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the respondent to conclude the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner, within a period of twenty four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
