The petitioner herein is the accused No.4 in C.C.No.164 of 2013, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Sivakasi. He filed this application under the provision of Section 482 of Cr.P.C., in which he seeks the relief to quash the entire proceedings initiated against him in the above said case.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, this Court directed the Registry to call for the Status Report from the Court concerned as to the status of the said case. Today, the letter sent by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Sivakasi is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
submitted before this Court. In the said letter, dated 20.02.2018, the learned Magistrate stated that the case pertaining to this case was disposed of on 18.06.2014 itself, in which except A2, all the other accused including this petitioner were acquitted from the charges.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel appearing for the first respondent also conceded the same. Therefore, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
