The petitioner has filed this criminal original petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, seeking quashment of the proceedings, in Crime No.690 of 2011, on the file of the first respondent Police.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) has submitted that the

investigation, in Dindigul Town South Police Station Crime No.690 of 2011 was transferred to the file of the Inspector of Police, Koodal Pudhur Police Station and re-registered as Crime No.168 of 2014 and final report has also been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.IV, Madurai, on 08.09.2014, for the offences under Sections 366(A), 376, 417, 315 and 506(ii) I.P.C.

3. Under such circumstances, the relief sought for by the petitioner has now become infructuous and the criminal original petition is, hence, dismissed. However, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.IV, Madurai, is directed to pass appropriate orders on the final report, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order and proceed further in accordance with law. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
