O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the second respondent to provide any job to the petitioner on compassionate ground in TASMAC, Thanjavur District, based on the petitioner's application dated 28.06.2017.

2. The case of the petitioner is that her husband worked as a Supervisor in TASMAC, Thanjavur Medical College Store and died in harness on 14.05.2015, leaving behind the petitioner, son and his 1/3

mother as legal heirs. Thereafter, the petitioner has made an application on 28.06.2017, to the second respondent for compassionate appointment. But till date the same was not considered. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing this writ petition.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the application made by the petitioner dated 28.06.2017 is directed to be considered by the second respondent.

4. The learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's husband was appointed on temporary basis and there is no Scheme provided for awarding compassionate appointment. However, the petitioner's application dated 28.06.2017, will be disposed of, in accordance with law.

5. Taking note of the said submissions made, the second respondent is directed to consider the application made by the petitioner dated 28.06.2017 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
