Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to settle the petitioners retirement benefits leave salary with interest at the rate of not less than 10% from the date when the same became due i.e., from 31.03.2011 till the date of actual payment to him within the time that may be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court. O R D E R

The contempt petition has been filed to commit and punish the respondents for their willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD)No.22007 of 2015, dated 09.12.2015. 2.Heard Mr.B.Santhanam Rajeshkumar, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.A.Jeyaram learned counsel for the respondents/contemnors 1 and 2 and Mr.A.P.Muthupandian for R3. 3.The learned counsel for the contemnors would submit that the commutation and other entire benefits have already been paid to the petitioner and they undertake to pay the interest within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. In case of non-compliance, the petitioner can revive the contempt application.

4.Recording the above submission, this contempt petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to revive the contempt petition, in the event of non-compliance. No costs.
