ORDER

The petitioner has submitted a representation for grant of patta on 06.11.2017 and has filed this writ petition for a writ of mandamus to the respondents to grant patta to the petitioner. 2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that he has got a decree from the competent civil court and it has also been confirmed in the appeal suit in A.S.No.229 of 2013 by the II Additional Subordinate Judge, Tiruchirappalli. Based on the civil court decree alone the petitioner has approached the respondents, however, the respondents have not taken any decision on the petitioner's representation.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents submits that a civil suit is pending. The learned Counsel for the petitioner disputed the same that as on date there is no civil suit pending.

4.In view of the above, the respondents 1 to 3 shall consider the petitioner's application and take a decision after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
