ORDER

The petitioner seeks to expedite the proceedings in C.C.No.165 of 2023, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Sivagangai, 1/4

which is pending on the complaint of the petitioner under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that on the promise of settling the cheque amount, the respondent has prolonged the case and in view of the dilatory tactics of the respondent, the trial has not yet commenced.

3.Though notice has been sent to the respondent and his name has been printed in the cause list, none has entered appearance. 4.Considering the request of the petitioner and the fact that the case is of the year 2023, learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Sivagangai, is directed to dispose of the proceedings in C.C.No.165 of 2023, as expeditiously as possible.

5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
