This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner, dated 14.10.2024 seeking intervention of the dispute between the private parties. 1/4

2. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

4. The petitioner owned patta land. Adjacent to the patta land, on south-northern side, there is a water channel with the width of 1 feet and from the water channel, the petitioner obtained water for the irrigation purpose of land for the past several years. However, now, the water channel has been interrupted by neighbour one Malathi. Therefore, the petitioner could not able to irrigate his paddy field. The petitioner has also produced the photographs to show that his field is affecting without water.

5. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent, on instructions, would submit that the water channel is not located in the FMB sketch or in the revenue records. While being so, the revenue officials could not intervene with the private dispute between the petitioner and his neighbour.

In view of the above, the jurisdictional Tahsildar, namely, Tahsildar, Thiruverumbur, Trichy District is directed to conduct an enquiry in this regard and to dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner, dated 14.10.2024 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
