ORDER

The petitioners have sought for quashing of the FIR in Crime No.730 of 2025 on the file of the first respondent.

2. The allegation against the petitioners is that they had trespassed into the house of the defacto complainant and abused her in filthy language and also attacked her with hands and thus committed the aforesaid offences.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that even if the allegations are accepted at their face value, the alleged offences are not made out; that the offence under Sections 189(2), 296(b), 131, 351 (2) BNS and Section 4 of TNPHW Act, 2002 would not be made out.

4. Since the allegations prima facie attract the offence under Section 4 of TNPHW Act, this Court cannot, at this stage, hold that the allegations against the accused are false. Further, an investigation cannot be ordinarily interfered with. The respondent is directed to conclude the investigation and file a final report as expeditiously as possible.

5. Hence, this Court is not inclined to entertain the quash petition. Consequently, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
