For petitioner : Mr.A.N.Ramanathan For R1 to R3 : Mr.S.Manikandan Government Advocate (Crl.side) O RDER This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 2 and 3 to expedite the investigation in Crime No.176 of 2022 dated 05.12.2022, within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the defacto complainant and has made a complaint before the third respondent Police and the same was registered in Crime No.176 of 2022 for the offence punishable under Sections 294(b), 381, 420, 468 and 506(i) IPC. However, the investigation has not been completed so far. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition has been filed.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner further submits that it would suffice if this Court directs the third respondent Police to complete the investigation in Crime No.176 of 2022 within a time stipulated by this Court.

4. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court directs the third respondent Police to complete the investigation in Crime No.176 of 2022 within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
