ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction, directing the 1st respondent to withdraw the Crime No.248 of 2024 filed for offences U/s 420, 294(b) & 506(ii) of IPC from the file of the 2nd respondent police and transfer the investigation to the file of the 3rd respondent police and consequently, direct the respondents to file final report within time frame stipulated fixed by this Court.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that, at his instance, the first information report in Crime No.248 of 2024 was registered against one person with respect to the fradulent transfer of patta. However, even after the registration of the FIR, there has been no progress in the investigation and hence, he seeks the indulgence of this Court.

3. Per contra, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police submitted that the investigation is going on and it will be completed within a short time.

4. Recording the same, this Court directs the first respondent to monitor the investigation conducted by the second respondent. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to appraise the progress of the investigation to the first respondent every Friday.
