P RAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 3 and 5 to consider the petitioner's representations dated 28.09.2023, 14.02.2024, 14.06.2024 and 09.10.2024 given to the respondents 1 to 5 with respect to the performance of worship in their family deities namely Arulmigu Maduraiveeran, Arulmigu Karuppasamy, Arulmigu Elumalayan, Arulmigu Pattavan, Arulmigu Mookuthi Chithakku and Arulmigu Agniyayee located in Survey No.122 of Aadhanur Village, at Melamettupatti Hamlet, Aadhanur Village, Kadavur Taluk, Karur District.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents 3 and 5 to consider the representations submitted by the petitioner.

2. Considering the nature of the order going to be passed in this writ petition, notice to the private respondents is dispensed with. Heard 2/4

the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

3. On perusal of the representations submitted by the petitioner, it is seen that the petitioner made representations seeking for a direction to restrain the private respondents herein from interfering with the construction activity in respect of the subject temple. The subject temple is a private temple and the dispute is between the petitioner and the private respondents herein. Therefore, the official respondents herein have no role to act on the representations submitted by the petitioner.

4. In view of the above, the representations submitted by the petitioner cannot be considered and this writ petition is devoid of merits and the same is dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a civil suit for getting appropriate relief. No costs. 20.12.2024 Index : Yes / No NCC : Yes / No Sm 3/4
