PRAYER: Contempt Petition is filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 praying to punish the respondents for willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court dated 19.01.2016 in W.M.P(MD)No.800 of 2016 in W.P(MD)No.993 of 2016. Prayer in WMP(MD). 800/ 2016 :

To pass an order INTERIM INJUNCTION restraining the respondents 7 and 8 from making any further construction in the said east-west Thannir Pathai at Bajnai Madam street situate at 137/11, Devasthanam, Pettavathalai village, Tiruchirappalli District pending disposal of the Writ Petition. Prayer in WP(MD). 993/ 2016 :

Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court To issue a WRIT OF MANDAMUS directing the 3rd Respondent/Revenue Divisional Officer to initiate proceedings under Section 133 of the Criminal Procedure Code and remove the obstruction/encroachment from the east - west Thannir Pathai at Bajanai Madam street situate at 137/11, Devasthanam, Pettavathalai village, Tiruchirappalli District and in the interregnum forbear the respondents 7 and 8 from proceeding further with the constructions in the said eastwest Thannir Pathai at Bajnai Madam street.
