ORDER

Invoking the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, the land of the petitioner measuring an extent of 0.99.0 Ares in S.No.160/1 of Kanchirangulam Village, Sivagangai Taluk, Sivagangai District, was acquired by the respondents for the purpose of Master Plan Complex by paying initial compensation.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the compensation granted is very meagre and therefore, he has come forward with this writ petition seeking a mandamus directing the first respondent to direct the fourth respondent to grant additional compensation with solatium of 30% and interest at 12% on the lands acquired.

3. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

4. The remedy available to the petitioner is not by filing a writ petition, but only by way of a reference to the Tribunal. Therefore, considering the fact that the remedy available to the petitioner is not by way of writ petition, this Writ Petition is dismissed.
