ORDER
The petitioner has made application through online on 14.08.2017 seeking loan for hiring of centring mould to the tune of Rs.4,88,250/- from the 2nd respondent bank under the Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme[PMEGP] and has filed a writ petition for a writ of mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to sanction loan under PMEGP based on the proposal of the 1st respondent to the 2nd respondent. 2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is eligible for loan under the PMEGP scheme and the 1st respondent has made recommendation to the 2nd respondent for sanction of loan to the petitioner. However, the 2nd respondent has refused to grant loan to the petitioner. The learned Counsel for the petitioner has also relied on the recommendation of the 1st respondent. 2/5
3.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent bank submits on receipt of the application the officials visited the village and has conducted enquiry and found that the petitioner was working in the agricultural field and the petitioner was not having any machineries. He also submits that during the interview the officials observed that the petitioner was in this field for several years and observed that no sign of material was found in connection with his activity. Further no document has been produced by the petitioner that he is having tie up with any builders for doing the proposed activity. The petitioner's wife one K.Meena was the President of a Self Help Group and availed a loan of Rs.60,000/- vide loan account No.0924268010219 and the account was written off in the year 2014 and the steps taken by the bank to recover the loan amount ended in vain.
4.Recording the above submission of the learned Counsel for the 2nd respondent, this writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
