Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to settle the retirement benefits of the petitioner including Gratuity the Commuted Value of Pension, Leave Salary with enchanced dearness allowance in term sof G.O.Ms No.55 Transport (D) department dated 04.06.2014 together with interest at the rate of 18% per annum from the date of his retirement to till the date of settlement within the time that may be stipulated by this Court and further directing the respondents to pay interest at the rate of 18% per annum for the belated payment of the Provident Fund and Social Security Schemes arrears within the time limit that may be fixed by this Court.

This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondents for their willful and wanton disobedience and non-compliance of the order, dated 21.01.2016 made in W.P(MD)No.20932 of 2015. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the respondents would submit that except the interest of computation entire retirement benefits have been paid to the petitioner.

3. Recording the said submission, this Contempt Petition is closed. The second respondent shall pay the interest within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In case of non-payment, the petitioner can revive the application.
