Prayer in WP(MD). 19335/ 2015 : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court To issue a WRIT OF MANDAMUS directing the respondents to take necessary steps based on the representation given by the petitioner dated 02.09.2015 to the 2nd respondent and consequently direct the 1st respondent to supervise the activities of the 2nd respondent in petitioner complaint dated 02.09.2015. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by NOOTY.RAMAMOHANA RAO.J.) This Contempt Petition is instituted complaining that the order dated 27.10.2015, passed in W.P(MD)No.19335 of 2015, is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

violated, by the Municipal Commissioner of Sankarankoil Municipality, Tirunelveli District.

2. When the matter is heard today, Mr.A.K.Baskarapandian, learned Special Government Pleader who accepted notice on behalf of the first respondent and Mr.P.Mahendran, learned Counsel who accepted notice on behalf of the second respondent, would bring to our notice that with effect from 01.04.2016, the collection of parking fee is undertaken departmentally by deploying the staff of the Municipality and the work is not entrusted to any contractor. However, the petitioner would continue to complain that excess fare is collected indiscriminately. To avoid any further possible criticism, the Municipal Commissioner of Sankarankoil Municipality, is directed to exhibit at all those prominent places where parking facilities are provided, the fee that is liable to be collected. Accordingly, this Contempt Petition is closed. No costs.
