O R D E R

This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 2 and 3 to forthwith provide police protection to the life of the petitioner. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a social activist. He has involved in various social welfare activities. Based on which, several complaints have been falsely foisted against the petitioner and the same were closed. He further submitted that in recent days some unknown rowdy elements followed the petitioner and watched his residence. Hence, the petitioner has sent a representation to the respondents police seeking police protection, on 16.10.2023. Since no action was taken, the present petition has been filed.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that on the basis of the representation given by the petitioner, the enquiry is undertaken. When the enquiry was under way, the petitioner did not appear before the respondent police, since he is staying in Chennai.

4.Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), let the above said representation shall be disposed of by the third respondent Police because due to non cooperation of the petitioner.

5.with the above said directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
