PRAYER IN WP(MD)No.2982 of 2016:- Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pay entire terminal benefits payable to the petitioner, including salary arrears in terms of settlement under Section 12(3) of the Industrial Disputes Act, dated 13.04.2015, gratuity, the commuted value of pension, leave salary together with interest at the rate of 18% per annum from the date of his retirement to till the date of payment within a stipulated time.

This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondents for willfully disobeying the order of this court made in W.P(MD)No.2982 of 2016, dated 11.02.2016.
2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel for the respondents submitted that except interest on commutation, other benefits have been paid to the petitioner.
3.In view of the above submission, the Contempt Petition is closed with a direction to the 3rd respondent to pay interest on commutation, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of the order copy. In the event of non-compliance, liberty to the petitioner to revive the contempt.
