(Order of the Court was made by C.V.Karthikeyan, J.) The petition came up for hearing on 16.09.2025, when the detenue had been produced before us. She was born on 22.09.2007. The petitioner is the father. She informed that owing to threat of marriage, she had taken a decision to leave her house. She had completed ITI in Tailoring in Government Industrial Training Institute, at Pudhur,

2. We had placed a request to the learned Additional Public Prosecutor to use his good office to speak with the authorities to explore the possibility of any job being offered to the detenue. We had also sought assistance of Inspector of Police, Thiruppalai Police Station Ms.N.Anuradha and also the Sub-Inspector of Police, Thiruppalai Police

Station Ms.A.Bhuvaneshwari. We must place her deep appreciation to the efforts taken by the Inspector of Police Ms.N.Anuradha and the SubInspector of Police Ms.A.Bhuvaneshwari and also Mr.A.Thiruvadikumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who had able to secure a seat in B.A.English Literature for the detenue in Yadava Women's College at

3. The detenue is present today and she expressed her intention to pursue the course/B.A.English Literature at the said college. The petitioner/father is also present and we have impressed upon him the necessity for his daughter to pursue her education further. Even though a letter had been addressed to the Registrar (Judicial), Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, Madurai, by the learned counsel for the petitioner seeking to withdraw the Habeas Corpus Petition, we had not permitted such withdrawal and on the other hand, sought appointment of a Legal Aid Counsel to represent the petitioner and accordingly, Mr.A.Saravanan, Panel Advocate of High Court Legal Services had been appointed as Advocate for the petitioner.

4. We would also place a request to Mr.A.Saravanan, learned Legal Aid Counsel to ensure that the detenue continues with her education at Yadava Women's College at Madurai in B.A.English Literature. The petitioner is attaining the majority on today and we would wish her well in her future endeavours.
